Summer Activity & Food at The Box

Our Summer Holiday Activity & Food Programme continues at The Box this week. We're cooking up hot dogs so come in and join us.

Free lunch available from 12noon - we're cooking up hot dogs and pizzas this week.

All the usual activities - pool, table tennis, x-box, games, crafts, cooking, chat...

All 11-16s welcome. Come and join us.

This programme is run in partnership with Essex Youth Service and Red Balloon Foundation.

Remote sessions starting this week

We can't run our usual after school sessions during the national lockdown but we can still meet up remotely.

Online after school social space starts on Thursday 21st January at 3:30pm for a half hour catch up and chat. Invitations and links are going out to young people who have already signed up. There will be an opportunity for new people to join in the next couple of weeks. Check back for details...

The Box Counselling Service continues to operate. We are offering online and telephone support and referrals can be made using the forms on the counselling page of our website.

Lockdown again…

As we move into another period of national lockdown due to Covid-19, The Box After School Social Space will not be reopening after the Christmas break.

We will be reading and assessing the guidance as this emerges over the next few days and plan an appropriate response to continue to support young people. Details will be posted here and on our social media channels as soon as possible.​

The Box Counselling Service continues to operate. We will be assessing the guidance over the next days to explore the level of service we can provide but as a minimum online and telephone support will still be available.
