Christmas
Tree festival raises £2,700 for The Box.
St.
John's Church, Epping staged another successful Christmas Tree Festival
from 9th-12th December.
There
were around 60 trees in the church all decorated by different societies,
businesses and individuals from the local area.
The
Box decorated a tree with a "Glow-in-the-Dark" theme.
Decorations had been made by young people in The Box and the tree was
decorated by students from The Box Alternative Education Programme.
There
were also musical events, refreshments, craft and sweet stalls during the
weekend. A total of £6,728 was raised which was split between The
Box and the Church Restoration Appeal.

The
Box "Glow-in-the-Dark"
Christmas
Tree was voted
runner-up
to the best tree
by
visitors to the festival.
The
Trustees would like to thank St. John's Church and especially all those
involved in making the Christmas Tree Festival so successful. We praise
God for their continued support for the work of The Box with young people
